Goldrush Museum

Gulgong is a township that is still full of gold history.  20 people became 20000 with over 140 pubs... Many sly grogs. The streets are narrow, where you can imagine horse- drawn carriages and they are crooked in places as pioneers had put up various slab huts and tents. The countryside has rolling, green hills and bushland.  There are enormous coal mines just out of town. They mined alluvial gold but when that ran out  r miners dug long shafts . I'll try to send photos of three windlass set up and cradles.
